Director’s Newsletter – End of Year Wrap Up
Message from the Director
It has been an amazing school year. We’ve enjoyed field trips, family bingo night, Mother’s Day Tea, and so many other special days. Thinking of all these great moments, I realize that what I love most is the COMMUNITY we have been building here at Destiny. There is a “Culture of Kindness” that permeates our school and makes Destiny a wonderful place for our children to learn and grow and for our teachers to educate and inspire.
Kindness creates a safe place for those little ones who aren’t quite “morning people” or for those who are challenged with a new developmental phase or task. Whether a child is facing potty training or single digit multiplication, kindness counts. And when teachers have a mountain of assessments to complete or an impending performance, I have seen the B. Doughnuts that parents have brought in go a long way. Thank you for your part in making Destiny a wonderful place to be!
A Record Breaking Year
Our school has been blessed in so many ways. One area has been substantial growth over the last few years. Recently, we have broken some pretty impressive records:
-More students than any previous year (133)
-More tours than any previous year
-More classes and largest staff of any previous year
-More registered families for the next school year than any previous year!!!
And next year we will have our very first 3rd grade class at Destiny!
Classes Filling
Preschool has been filling up and First Grade for next year already has 11 enrolled students which means there are only 5 more available spots! We are taking registrations until classes fill. If a class you want is filled, you can ask to be placed on the wait list.
All registration can be completed online. If you have questions or would like to talk further with Jennifer or Gloria regarding the registration process or any of Destiny’s programs, please email or give us a call. We would be happy to answer any questions you have!
PTO & Parent Involvement
I want to thank this year’s PTO members, committee leaders, and especially our executive board. These ladies began our PTO from ground zero and accomplished so much in such a short amount of time. Thank you!!
If YOU would like to help lead this year’s PTO, please email me at jennifer@destinyschoolofthearts.com. We would love your participation!
Summer Camp
Summer is just about here! That means fun in the sun, vacations, cook outs, and summer camp. Please go hereto see our offerings. It is important to note that all summer camp registrations must be received 1 week prior to the start of camp.
School Growth & Expansion
Next year this time, we will be breaking ground on our new building. We will be sharing more about this exciting news at Back to School Night in the fall.
Thanks again for a wonderful school year!
