Camp Schedule

Week 1 (May 22 -May 26)

Health and Fitness (2-3 year olds)

Learning happens best when the brain and body are both on the move! We will have fun running, jumping,

stretching and navigating through obstacle courses all while we learn how to stay healthy, take care of our

bodies, and keep the germs away!

Construction Zone (4-6 year olds)

Children will have a blast becoming architects, engineers and carpenters! Not only will they be building and

creating, they will be demolishing and dissecting! We will put our science, geometry, math and problem solving

skills to the test!

Week 2 (May 29 -June 2)

No bake, baking camp (2-3 year olds)

While boosting math and language skills your child will prepare ‘no-bake’ food creations to share with their

friends. We will whisk, measure, pour, sift and roll our way through this yummy camp week!

Music Makers (4-6 year olds)

Campers will have a blast making all different types of musical instruments and learning how to play each

instrument!

Week 3 (June 5 – June 9)

Day at the Farm (2-3 year olds)

Old McDonald had a farm! Come join us as we sing fun songs and read some exciting books. We will be

exploring and learning about all different types of farm animals!

Puppet Camp (4-6 year olds)

Through the creation of their very own puppets your child will learn to become a puppeteer! We will create

character voices and learn how to manipulate our puppets through puppet play!

Week 4 (June 12 – June 16)

Puppet Camp (2-3 year olds)

Through the creation of their very own puppets your child will learn to become a puppeteer! We will create

character voices and learn how to manipulate our puppets through puppet play!

Campfire Jamboree (4-6 year olds)

Come on in and gather ‘round our indoor “campfire” and sing a song or two! Our days will be filled with

s’mores, tents, woodland creatures, games and arts & crafts. We’ll even go on a scavenger hunt to find a bear!

You won’t want to miss this “camping trip”!

Yoga Inside and Out (7 and up)

Campers will learn about the basic tenets of yoga in an age-appropriate way. Yoga poses will be taught along

with how each pose is helpful to the body and mind. Healthy eating and food groups will also be introduced.

Week 5 (June 19 – June 23)

Camping Out (2-3 year olds)

What could be more fun than camping with friends? We will tell stories around our pretend campfire, explore

our tent, take a nature walk, learn about the camp supplies we will need for our adventure and of course

complete some really cool camp projects!

Artful Science (4-6 year olds)

Can you use the power of magnets to create an abstract painting? Can you use the sun’s energy to make a

print? What things in nature can be used to create dyes and paints? Both art and science fuel our imaginations,

so why not mix them? In this camp, students will get the opportunity to discover the answers to these questions

and more. They will paint with dyes created from nature, explore the works of Jackson Pollock while learning

how germs are spread and create their own thaumatrope while learning about optical illusions and persistence

of vision. Your child will have a blast discovering the art and science behind it all!

Summer Fable Fun (7 and up)

Campers will have fun with characters from well-known fables and tall tales. Daily activities will coincide with a

fable each day, with retelling of a favorite fable at the end of camp.

Week 6 (June 26 -June 30)

Fairytale Camp (2-3 year olds)

Once upon a time there was a summer camp. In this summer camp there were young children eagerly

exploring the world of fairytales. These children enjoyed making fun crafts and playing dress up!

Red, White and Blue (4-6 year olds)

As we get ready to celebrate Independence Day, we will celebrate all the things that make America great! We

will discover national monuments, build rockets, and end the week with our very own 4th of July parade!

Woodworking (7 and up)

Along with learning basic woodworking skills such as safety, measuring and sanding, your child will learn how to use tools! “Last Man Standing” game set, wood rocket ship and a custom name plaque are examples of projects your child may create.

Week 7 (July 10 – July 14)

Pirate Camp (2-3 year olds)

Argh Matey! Come along and sail with us on the high seas. If ye dare! Maybe we will even discover some

hidden treasure!

Art a la Carte (4-6 year olds)

Have you ever wanted to flavor your artistic palette with painting and pastels, but thought that sculpture might

be appealing as well? In this camp, students can have it all! They will have the chance to explore techniques

through many different artistic medias. They will get a small taste of painting, pastels, sculpture, mixed media

and drawing. All in an effort to open them up to the wonderful world of fine arts. As they explore each

medium they will learn characteristics unique to that art form and techniques to grow as an artist. This is a

great way for your budding artist to get a little taste of it all!

Rock Star Camp (7 and up)

The campers will form a band and write their own song. They will also get to design their own band logo and

create band shirts!

Week 8 (July 17 – July 21)

Space (2-3 year olds)

Off we go exploring into outer space! Looking forward to all the adventures we will have while learning about

space! We hope you will come along and join us!

Sculpture Camp (4-6 year olds)

Get ready to create in 3-D! This camp focuses on all types of sculpture. Students will learn ways to build with

clay. They will learn the science behind designing mobiles, while looking at the works of Alexander Calder.

They will enjoy creating with plaster and experimenting with techniques in manipulating wire. Students will

have a blast creating masterpieces in 3-D!

Science Camp (7 and up)

Your child will explore the power of wind through the creation of their own rocket pinwheel, make a statically

charged huggable animal, or a wind flapping insect and observe the power of gas produced through a safe

chemical reaction experiment!

Week 9 (July 24 – July 28)

Under the Sea (2-3 year olds)

Come join us on an adventure under the sea. We will get to explore and learn about sea creatures.

A Pirates Life for Me (4-6 year olds)

Lets have a ruckus ‘n become band ‘o pirates. We shall play games such as walk th’ plank, pillage ye treasure ‘n be off on a treasure hunt fer jewels. Young band ‘o pirates will not just learn to use a compass but they gunna

make one too. Arrrr we gunna have a ruckus learnin’ to speak like a scurvy pirate. Ye wee one gunna create

some memorable crafts too! Gather pirates on th’ poop deck fer a week full ‘o a ruckus!

Hollywood Camp (7 and Up)

The campers will create a movie and roll out the red carpet for their awards show at the end of the week!

Week 10 (July 31 – August 4)

Eric Carle (2-3 year olds)

Eric Carle is pretty much a household name when it comes to children’s books. We will read a few of his more

than 70 books! We will also have a blast creating beautiful collages and wonderful works of textured art, just as

Eric Carle has done in his numerous amounts of books he has illustrated as well as written!

Destiny S.T.A.R.S

Campers will become STARS! By playing games, team building, and practicing all the character traits

represented by the letters in STARS, Show kindness, Teamwork, Attitude, Respect, Serve others!

Week 12 (August 14 – August 18)

At the Beach (2-3 year olds)

Going to the beach is always a new adventure! From the creatures in the water to finding souvenirs in the sand!

We will discover all the wonders of the ocean and the beach through science experiments, crafts and sensory

play!

Rock Star Camp (4-6 year olds)

We’ll make guitars and play rhythm games on the drums. We’ll learn to sing using a microphone, play on our

drums, and go on a scavenger hunt to find the missing drum!

Sculpture Camp (7 and up)

Get ready to create in 3-D! This camp focuses on all types of sculpture. Students will learn ways to build with

clay. They will learn the science behind designing mobiles, while looking at the works of Alexander Calder.

They will enjoy creating with plaster and experimenting with techniques in manipulating wire. Students will
